![]() Marc majored in English and minored in philosophy in college, but his true passion for knowledge resides within the Star Wars universe, where he continues to document and analyze every last multimedia release, from the novels and comics to the television series and theme-park attractions. In addition, he's written for 32 other sites (including IGN, The Escapist, and Gamasutra), has appeared on radio and television news as a pop-culture (read: Star Wars) specialist, and has served as a consultant on the theming industry. He was also the editor-in-chief of Orlando Informer for several years and still is the consulting editor of Tower of the Hand, which is dedicated to George R.R. Kleinhenz is the author of "Nerdism In-Depth," the Substack newsletter about every major piece of nerd culture. but we're not counting on that happening. It would be fun if the show's take on the "Spirit of Vengeance" somehow tied into Daredevil’s supernaturally powered villains, The Hand, which possesses the ability to resurrect its ninja warriors from the dead. Of course, that still leaves the Darkhold and the “ghosts” that Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), Quake, and Ghost Rider have been hunting down, meaning that magic may still yet play a role – and a rather large one – in what remains of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Maybe the writers will even go so far as to insert dear ex-Agent Felix Blake (Titus Welliver) - the MCU character who suddenly re-entered the series as the Watchdogs’ leader last season - into the picture. Given that the Watchdogs have played a major role thus far in the season, and given that the anti- Inhuman militia has found itself a mysterious new financial backer, it seems most likely that this new behind-the-scenes player is one-and-the-same as the owner of the stolen vehicle. is more than known for – our guess is that this is where the showrunners’ changes start to kick in. While the connection back to Daisy Johnson/Quake (Chloe Bennet) would be a nifty bit of narrative footwork – something which S.H.I.E.L.D. Everything that was put into this episode is just phenomenal.” We went all-out trying to do it justice in terms of the stunts, the effects, the CGI. The way that we fuse these two elements of the existing story together and to this moment, this origin story moment, is pretty phenomenal. It still draws from this really, really great moment in the latter half of that first run of the All-New Ghost Rider that I won’t say too much about. “I can definitely say that there’s some wonderful elements of Felipe Smith’s original origin story mixed in with this new angle that we’re approaching from, but that new angle still draws from the source material. Being interviewed by Entertainment Weeklyregarding this week’s episode, “The Good Samaritan”, which is being hyped as an origin story for Ghost Rider, Gabriel Luna had this to say: Now the actor behind Robbie Reyes is doubling down on that angle. season 4 is how resolute Robbie Reyes has been in denying the involvement of any alien DNA – and instead swearing that his superpowers are the result of a pact he made with the Devil himself. What’s been so intriguing about the first five episodes of S.H.I.E.L.D. Well, I guess it's now the Marvel TV Universe as well. Many fans had originally assumed that the show’s explanation for the anti-hero would be the same one that it’s adopted for the characters of Quake and the Patriot – namely, that he’s an Inhuman. It's great to see the Marvel Cinematic Universe expand. We slowly build up to Ghost Rider's debut. Fitz may in fact be my favorite character, if only because he's the most amusing. The subplot with Fitz is quite entertaining, as it features him meeting a female robot who is revealed to have the sole purpose of acting as a literal shield to the organization. We get some nice scenes with the other characters and catch up with what they've been doing. Now, this isn't really quite the focus of the episode as some ads would have you think and I believe it's for the better. As we return to this beloved series, we finally get to see another character from Marvel Comics appear. ![]() Nicolas Cage may be the more famous actor, but this guy does it better. Yes, I know other people have taken on the title, but he's just the most well known version. I was pretty stunned to hear Ghost Rider not being referred to as Johnny Blaze in this.
